9th St., Barnegat Light - Novice to Pro (Wavesailing)
It is located Oceanside after a long walk to the beach. Large waves break off on outside sandbar created by the south jetty of the Barnegat Light Inlet. This break can be very treacherous at times so sail at your own risk. A smaller inside break also works protected by the south jetty for easier riding and beginners. Low tide is best for smaller shore break. Home of the Island Surf & Sail Annual Windsurf & Kitesurf Contest. Oh, and be courteous of the locals when parking!
Best wind directions are N(side-off), NE(side),E(side-on),SE(on shore),S(side-on)SW,(side). W works only if it is really windy!

25th St., Barnegat Light - Beginner to Expert (Flatwater)
Nice beach for rigging and very shallow for beginners with outer mud flats for protected ultra flat water. High tide is recommended or at least carry a small fin. Weed fins are necessary during the summer.
Kitesurfers- This area is a little tight for novices because there isn't much room to go down wind. But advanced riders will be bootin' as high as the ever will!
Best wind directions are SE,S(strong thermals),SW(very good),W(very flat),NW, N, and strong NE.

9th St., Ship Bottom - Oceanside Beginner to Expert (Wavesailing)
Drive right over the Causeway to Long Beach Island until you hit the ocean. You found it. Nice big beach and manageable waves. When the winds are strong, so is the current so bring a big fin!
Best wind directions are N, NE(strong current), SE(strong current), S, and SW.

Sunset Park, Harvey Cedars - Beginner to Expert (Bump and Jump)
Located on Salem Ave, this park has a playground for the kids, showers, and grass rigging, along with basketball, tennis, volleyball, and fitness course. Beginner windsurf lessons by Jack Bushko on site but pre-registration at Island Surf & Sail is required.
Local Knowledge, on a SE,S, and SW, there is a place called the terrain park 2 to 4 tacks upwind of sunset park. Glass flatwater behind an island and peninsulas for jibing, with huge ramps breaking on a sandbar for expert bump and jump. This will be on your list for all time sailing spots.
Kitsurfers use the far North point. Watch for hidden objects in the water.

James St., Harvey Cedars - Beginner to Advanced Kitesurfers (Kitebeach)
The most common kite beach. There's plenty of room to rig and launch and a safe zone downwind for beginners. Parking is very tight so please be kind to the local property owners, thanks!

33rd St., Brant Beach - Oceanside Beginner to Expert (Wavesailing)
Located up the st from Island Surf & Sail, this is where you'll find the shop guys for a quickie!
Best wind directions are N, NE(strong current), SE(strong current), S, and SW.

Bayview Park, Brant Beach - Beginner to Expert
The most popular windsurfing beach it has a playground, basketball, and volleyball, with bathrooms and showers. Parking gets crowded but is sufficient. It has a protected cove for learning and flat, shallow water on the outside for speed and jibing.

The Wooden Jetty, Holgate - Novice to Pro (Wavesailing)
Drive to the furthest point south on Long Beach Island. This place really turns on with the westerlies. And can even be sailed on a W and be world class. BE CAREFUL OF SUCKEN JETTY.
Best wind directions are S, SW(supreme), WSW(don't go anywhere else), and W(worth it, but be careful.
